Stop by and enjoy the thrill of seeing these short legged, but determined, canine athletes compete. There will also be a crating area competition with the circus theme “Under the Big Top” where you can join the Norwich and their Norfolk cousins and see the Cirque Du Norleil.

Speaker: Bryden J Stanley, BVMS, MACVSc, MVetSc, Diplomate ACVS
Topic: Update on the NTUAS study results to date.
Dr. Stanley graduated as a veterinarian in 1982 in Australia. She undertook and completed a Residency in Small Animal Surgery and Master’s Degree in Saskatchewan, Canada. In 1990 she was on faculty at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland and then in industry for several years. Since 1998 Dr. Stanley has been on faculty at Michigan State University where she is currently Section Chief of Surgery. Dr. Stanley’s research is in wound healing, cutaneous reconstruction and respiratory disease in the dog. She publishes frequently, has received several teaching awards and lectures widely at a national and international level.

The Membership Mixer/Health Seminar will be conveniently located at the Hilton Garden Inn, our host hotel. Guests will be able to relax with friends and enjoy a full buffet of delicious pasta dishes, grilled herb seasoned chicken, Caesar Salad, and focaccia bread. A cash bar will be available. The ticket price for the Mixer is $25 per person. There is no charge for the NTCA Health Seminar which will follow the mixer. Our speaker this year is Dr. Bryden Stanley of Michigan State University who will update members on the NTUAS study results to date. Please make reservations by September 15, 2017.

This year the NTCA Awards Dinner will again be at our host hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn. The ticket price for this event is $50 per person and includes a raffle ticket for a Norwich themed prize.
It is requested that reservations be made by September 15, 2017.

Before and during the dinner we will have a notions section and hold both a silent and live auction.

Our silent and live auctions serve to support many efforts that benefit our breed, especially health research projects. Please look around your home for items that might be of interest to our members. You may send your new or gently used items (along with a suggested starting bid amount) to Judy Laffey at 765 Neptune Blvd., Long Beach, NY 11561 before September 15th, or deliver them to Judy Laffey or Melissa Smith by Noon on Thursday, Oct. 5 at the host hotel. Please make arrangements to deliver auction items before the date of the dinner. It is very difficult for volunteers to set up when pressed for time. Please notify me at of your intention to donate an item and method of delivery.

Member support for hospitality events is sincerely appreciated.
